Procedural Reform through Cooperation with Civic Registration Agencies
Working actively with reforms, Gegharkunik AAC implemented one more procedural reform in the field of heritage adoption.
The unawareness of inhabitants about the heritage adoption procedure, especially its timelines established by the law, increases the corruption risks and cases.
AAC initiated a reform to increase the awareness of inhabitants about the mentioned procedure through using an effective method.
After having a discussion with the representatives of the Civic Registration offices (CRO), AAC prepared and printed informational booklets describing the procedure of heritage adoption. The booklets have been handed to the CROs to distribute among their visitors, who apply to get the death certificates of their relatives (these people are supposed to take actions for heritage adoption).
In the results of the reform the awareness of citizens will become higher, which will reduce corruption risks and cases in the field.
After evaluating the effectiveness of procedural reform, the AAC is planning to initiate a system level reform in this field.
