Seminar for Drivers
Gegharkunik’s Advocacy and Assistance Center (AAC) organized a seminar on the “Rights and Responsibilities of Drivers” in coordination with “Achilles” Center of Defense of Drivers Rights NGO. The purpose of that event was to raise the level of drivers’ awareness as an effective tool in combating corruption.
The seminar was led by Mr. Eduard Hovhannisyan, President of Achilles NGO, who presented recent updates on regulations related to the rights of drivers and responsibilities of traffic police officers. More than 30 community residents took part at the seminar and consulted the speakers on how to deal with common cases of alleged traffic police extortions and other potential abuses against drivers in Armenia.
